@MrsBuesleBee:  If you don’t mind me asking, how much were out-of-pocket costs on both of those prescriptions? I have a derm appt coming up and have considered asking for both of those Rx’s but if I can’t afford it I won’t bother.

@missoptimism:  the retinol is cheap -5 or 10 bucks  for like a year or twos worth.

The Latisse is $$$$ 140 for a few months if you stretch it out.

@blushbliss:  I just do a pea size amount, and I make sure to do it when my face is clean but *dry*. Straight out of the shower your pores are too open and skin too sensitive (or mine atleast). I let it soak in a few minutes, then gentle night moisturizer.

Make sure youre using sunscreen and not using it during the day too.

That being said: I didnt get anything other than a little flaky skin. I would scale back on the amount until you adjust. But dont freak out or anything- thats what it does. It dissolves away your finest top layer of (mostly dead) skin which encourages your cells to regenerate, and produce more collagen. You just dont want it to happen quickly (like a chemical peel at the spa), so I say, just use less. Or use less often. (every other day)
