Oh Bees, I’m just so giddy I could scream….but that would wake up Mr. Artichokey and I’d have to explain why I’m screaming. Haha.
We’ve been working ever-so-slowly towards engagement, timelines, wedding plans, etc. He knows, I need 18 months. He also knows I want it to be May 2012. Tonight, on a date, we counted and discovered that May of 2012 is 21 months away. Proposal in the next three months to make that timeline a reality? That’s pretty soon! I was explaining to him what eyelet is (he asked) and we got into how long it takes for a dress to come in. Usually 3-4 months, plus at least six weeks for alterations…not counting the amount of time it takes to figure out which dress is ‘the one.’ He said, “oh, I had no idea. I didn’t realize they make your actual dress. I thought it took, like, a month!” Silly man.
As we were going to sleep I asked him, “Mr. Artichokey, are you good with doing this in May?”
“Okay then. Do you think May of 2012 or May of 2013? Just so I know, as I can start planning small things here and there to get ahead.”
“Oh, definitely May of 2012.”
“Do you mind if I start planning things?”
“No, I think it’s probably a good idea to get ahead of things.”

I just left BF’s house, so I took the liberty of screaming for you. It won’t wake anyone up….maybe the neighbors but it’s still sort of early here 🙂

Sweet!! I think it’s so cool that you guys are starting to plan your wedding and have a definite timeline before he’s “officially” proposed. So exciting! I’ve watched several friends get engaged and THEN start planning the wedding, and every one of them is shocked at how fast the date creeps up on them. Have fun planning!

@sweetmamam: Oh I’ve been there too. I was so surprised/giddy because I’ve heard a lot of “I don’t know” from him in the past. Up until about a month ago he was still thinking of our wedding as ‘something that will happen but not for a long time.’
@sweetpea1031: With how addicted I am to the bee, I will DEFINITELY keep you all posted! 🙂
