Bees! Reassure me that I’m ok!
I ordered my dress on September 8th at a boutique bridal salon where I live. They told me six months for the dress to come in, which was last week. I actually called in mid-February to check up, and they told me they expected it to come in in mid-March. So, I called today to check in again, and they told me that Allure is running on a bit of a delay this year and that they expect to have the dress in by the third week of April.
There isn’t a HUGE rush, my date isn’t until October 12, but it makes me nervous! Is it normal for a bridal company to be ‘delayed’? I’m so used to reading horror stories on here it’s making me freak out and think I’m going to be one of those brides that gets bamboozled by a bridal salon! AH!

I’ve definitely heard of this happening. You have plenty of time, I wouldn’t be too concerned unless it gets pushed back again past April.

I think it’s no big deal. My dress was a month late, and everything was perfect.

@TwoStatesBride: I ordered my dress in May and it “just came in” and ny first fitting is in April for a July wedding. You’ll be fine. Just do any and all dieting prior to your fittings to save time.

Yes this happened to me. I was suppose to get my dress in November, then they said January, then they said… Well, you get the idea! I think I finally got it in March (this was all last year so I’m a little fuzzy on the details), but I did *eventually* get my dress! 😀

@Pollywog: DANG, ten months! This all makes me feel a lot better. She mentioned that the Chinese New Year slows down Allure Couture gowns, because they don’t keep them at the warehouse in the States…I was like, she’s bs’ing me…but I researched it and heard some other brides have heard this from their consultants too. I’m glad I was nice, I think I might be overreacting!!

Mine was suppose to come in in March as per my bridal store but has been change to the first of April. My wedding is at the end of May so hopefully it will all be good.

@TwoStatesBride: My allure gown is a little delayed as well. Just curious, where did you purchase your gown? I live in the Northern, Va area that is why I ask.
