Have any of you bees bought deli trays from Costco or Walmart for your reception? We will have some food made by our friend/caterer (she offered this as a gift…SOO wonderful of her) and we will be helping with the rest. She will be making a few salads and more hearty dishes so I thought we could get the fruits, veggies and meat and cheese or deli rolls/cresent sandwich type trays. What do you think? And who do you recommend?

I’ve never ordered deli trays before so I’m not much help! But I have had family members that have got trays from Costco before and it was great!

Honestly, I have not used them but the grocery stores around here. And they deli trys were great. No complaints. I think either one will be fine. 🙂

The ones from Walmart vary greatly. I personally like the ones from Ingles which is a local grocery store that I cannot get to anymore. But I think you can probably assemble your own deli trays for cheaper then getting them from the store depending on how many you need to feed.

I love the cocktail shrimp at Costco, and those turkey rollers, so good!

We had a bunch of deli & fruit trays for an Irish wake for my FI’s aunt.
They were from Metro (local large grocery store chain), and they were fantastic. Really overflowing with food for the price, and vert fresh.
Depemding on what our caterer offers for cocktail hour, we may just go with these as well.

Never had a Walmart deli tray. I have been to a couple weddings (and a plethora of non-wedding events) with Costco deli trays (sandwiches, meat and cheese platters, etc) that were very yummy and went over quite well with guests.

Great! Thank you so much for all comments. Im sure that I could make them, but I think for the price it is worth not having to spend time making them when we have out of town people to visit with. Ill compare prices but Ive always heard good things about Costco.
