@Coral99:  Aww that made my day! Thank you πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to see the finished product! I don’t know where you are located but one of the best places to get rings works on is Alexander’s Jewelers. If you need any more pictures of the halo on my ring for your Fiance or the jeweler to see, let me know, and I will gladly send more πŸ™‚

I love all these rings!  I’m still ringless (come on FI’s tax return, get here!), but really want a very dainty looking ring.  I’m hoping for just a round solitaire inbetween .50 and 1 carat on a tiny band.

Keep posting, I love this thread!  It gives me something to show Fiance.

My band is only 1.5mm wide!  .1ct tw in diamond accents and 6mm cushion cut sapphire!  Now finding a band to match is becoming a beast of an issue, but I may take one jeweler’s suggestion and get a tiny eternity band and have a channel cut out of the bottom of my e-ring’s setting to allow it to “hug” the e-ring band. (size 7, fat day lol lost 13lbs since this pic)

@Tink13:  We are in Texas. My setting is from Robbin’s Brothers. I went on their site and saw they have halo enhancements!! I can’t wait!! I’ve read on here (and even mentioned it myself) that halos are a trend. I’m beginning to rethink this because of what I read online. It’s actually not a new trend…it’s considered vintage. Which is exactly what I wanted my ring to look like, but be new.

Princess Diana’s sapphire ring that Kate Middleton wears as her e-ring is a halo. I read that halos are the perfect choice for women who want understated elegance. Women who care about trends but aren’t obvious about it. That’s ME to a t. Much like the dark polish that came out years ago that are now classic, I feel halos will be the same thing. They won’t be for everyone but I do feel they are here to stay. Just my 20 cents…not everyone will agree with me, I’m sure!

@Mischka:  Thank you! It was my FI’s grandmother’s engagement ring from the 30’s πŸ™‚

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  I LOVE your ring. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Can I ask how wide your bands are?

@Cote1590:  Really!? I wondered if it was a heirloom ring, it’s got that illusion look about it.

I love old jewellery and the stories they have.

Yes, I love dainty sets too!! My e-ring is away for a while getting a custom-made wedding band made with it. Everytime I send it away to be cleaned or repaired, I wear a RHR as my temporary e-ring with a thin rose gold diamond band and I really love the look. It’s a flower composite ring with twisty band πŸ™‚
