There is probably a demetrious store somewhere near you or your venue.  I visited the store in ATL.  I wasn’t overly impressed with the sales associate or the dresses and I had really liked what I saw on their website.  I think there are better options in that price range.  I think the price ranges were $1500-3000 but I could be a little off.  Google a couple styles and you should be able to come up with something.

I’m sorry to say I also had a disappointing experience there. I drove two hours to San Diego because I loved the dresses on the website and noone in LA seemed to carry them. When I got there 1. I waited almost an hour with an appointment, 2. The salesgirl that finally took mewas helping three people at once, 3. The store was overpacked with entourages consisting of grandmas in wheelchairs, babies, kids running around etc that outnumbered the brides 4. None of the stuff I liked online was available in size 2-10,  5. All the dresses I tried on seemed like they were left over from the 80’s,  6. The quality was comparable to David’s Bridal, with twice the price tag. I visited 21 stores overall and I have to say this was the worst. But, I’m sure there are several brides that do find their dream dress there. It just didn’t work out for me.

I went to the Demetrios bridal salon in Macy’s NYC.  Great experience, loved my dress, and haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else.

I had a great experience visiting Demetrios and purchased my dress there.  The experience you have in-stores probably depends on the store.  I actually bought this dress as a sample there and as a result got 60% off.

I didnt get a Demetrios dress, but it was the first place I went to for dress shopping. The lady was really nice, not pushy at all as far as sales goes, and she helped me fit into each of my gowns, and I learned what kind of dress I liked after that.

I am a Demetrios bride and love love love my dress but I will have to agree with meliss. I didn’t experience the hour long wait, but I went on a Wednesday afternoon, so it wasn’t quite as busy as meliss described. But there were entourages consisting of the wedding party and family brood nonetheless. Luckily, by the time they called me the large groups were on their way out so I was able to take my time and had the showroom and consultant all to myself.

The store itself had rack and racks and racks of wedding dresses to choose from. If you are easily overwhelmed with quantity, then Demetrios is not for you. They have very few dresses on mannequins to look at. But, I happen to like searching through racks and bins, so I enjoyed the experience. I was very specific with what I was looking for so despite the large amount of dresses they had, I chose 3 or 4 only.

On my way to the fitting room, the consultant stopped and told me to look through their sample sale rack also. I was hesitant to do so because I heard previous reviews about how they handle their dresses. They are not gentle. Turns out the dress I ended up buying was a sample and it was clean, clean, clean. I was very surprised! It was the last dress of that style in the nation and they didn’t know what the style # was. So it was sold to me at over 30% off sample price (i.e., 50% off original price). It took me 3 days to find the dress online and it was a dress they retired early from their Spring 2009 collection. It originally went for $1,600. I was quite happy with my find.

As for the quality, the materials they use are similar to the Maggie’s and Casablanca’s. They are at similar price points with those designers, BUT the boning on the dress is similar to David’s Bridal. With that, I think their dresses should be priced in between the Casablanca’s and DB’s. Since I got my dress for cheap, I am happy regardless of the lack of boning.

I just purchased my dress from Demetrios here in Atlanta, GA.  I was fortunate to be placed with the Manager of the store; therefore, I had an awesome experience there.  That was my LAST bridal store that I was going to and that’s when I found my dress!!!  The selection is great and the price range was even better  ($750- $3000+)  I agree with baldor1 that the designs and structure of the dresses are similar to that of Maggie Sottero.  Here is my dress….  It is a mix of tradition, with a little spice and uniqness.  There are several dresses with that same mix there.

I purchased a demetrios dress from the new 2011 collection. It’s not out yet so no pictures online but I went to David’s Bridal, Klenfields and 3 local boutiques before Demetrios and I was 100% happy with Demetrios. The dresses were in the $1,500 – $2,000 range that I was trying on. Personally I think it’s easier to just go in person. I tried on dresses that I passed by online.

I loved Demetrios. I went to the store in Atlanta, on a recommendation from a friend who just found her gown there. All the sales people were friendly, helpful. The dress I got is like a combination of sweet and sexy. A lot of the dresses there are like that.

My dress was $1200, but they gave me a 15% discount for being a first time customer! Seriously! Who isn’t a first time customer, assuming it’s your first wedding!! lol

Hope you find something you like there. I really enjoyed my experience in their store.

I bought my dress from their new 2011 collection last month. I was so excited about the dress that I forgot to take a picture of it…however my fiance did take a pic of me looking at my toes..haha. But my grand total with taxes and everything was $1374.95. That was including discounts since I bought it during a trunk show. I think they have beautiful dresses and they are much better quality than Mori Lee and David’s bridal. I also have a Mori Lee and I can tell a huge difference between the quality of the material and the boning in the corset. Here is a not so great pic of the back of my dress.

I am also a Demetrios Bride.  I loved the experience I had.  With friends who have been in weddings or brides themselves I had heard a lot about the bridal boutiques in St. Louis.  I only went to Demetrios because the first time I went I fell in love with their dresses and my consultant.  I never had to wait, I was treated like a queen and Jacquie, my consultant was honest and down to earth.  I would highly reccomend Demetrios.  My dress was beautiful, constructed very well and suprisingly comfortable for my bustiness.  I have never worn a strapless and felt confident like I did on my wedding day.  Good Luck and enjoy the search!
