@soon2bhis: those don’t work

google “petzlife”  and get some of the gel, use it 2x’s a day and no food or water 30 minutes before or after giving it to them.  works wonders on their teeth and their breath!  and believe the before and after pictures, they are true.  i’ve witnessed it myself.  best stuff i’ve ever gotten for my dogs!  it’s worth the price.  HTH!

Greenies, brushing (best thing you can do!) or C.E.T. chews (unless your puppy doesn’t do well with rawhide type chews). I know a lot of people think Greenies are bad/cause blockages but that was years ago. They have been reformulated and are guaranteed to digest- and they do work. But like with any toy or chew give it when you’re around to supervise, and make sure it’s size appropriate, petite/regular/large depending on your pup.

There are also rx dental diets if it’s really bad or you have a breed that is really predisposed to oral disease; and your vet probably also carries a recommended rinse/gel (generally chlorhexidine based).
