Nooo I wrote a long post and it vanished! Haha ok: Just ideas off the top of my head: Have a “spark” theme (as in sparky – do you call electricians that there? We do in NZ). Could use gold/glitter/sparklers/fairy lights/those firework shaped lights…Could do signs/photobooth with “show us your pearly whites” or “open wide”, props could be cardboard cut outs of oversized toothbrushes, plugs/sockets etc…White ribbon theme to represent dental floss (in an abstract way!) Could do gifts of “freshen up” kits with mini mouthwash/sugar free gum, those fun LED light rings or something. What else are you guys into though? Surely there’s more to you than just your jobs!

That’s kinda a hard one. What about making it more about you as a person and not your jobs.

What about a custom cake topper? Maybe an electrician fixing a light-up heart or something, and the bride looking like a dental assistant (not sure how to distinguish that from a nurse..hopefully you ahve some ideas there)? Etsy has a lot of people who can help you with something like that. I plan on having a custom clay topper made and having the artist put a hook on it so I can use it as a Christmas ornament in the future.

I wonder if your careers are the best way to focus on making it reflect you guys as a couple for favors/decor. What about your shared interests and hobbies?

I also have the vague unformed idea that you could incorporate this in your guest book somehow. You could have a cute cartoon a-la the cake topper idea on the front of the book, and then maybe make it look like a storybook like “once upon a time an electrician fell in love with a dental assistant…” but something better written than that…

I keep having more ideas the more I think about it! You could do those wire shapes to represent wiring in centrepieces (like how they twist coathangers into names etc), or do like a negative/positive contrast in some way (as in black/white or orange/blue, not sad/happy haha), make table names types of circuts/electrical features/tooth hygiene tools…
