First off, I should say that I am such a sissy when it comes to anything dental related.
I have an appointment on Thursday to get a crown on a tooth in the back. This is the first time I have had to get a crown.
Friday begins my weekend trip that I have been looking forward to for a few months now.
I was wondering if after having the crown done, if I am going to feel any pain or discomfort.
Will my mouth feel funny? Will the crown feel different than my regular tooth?
I am considering changing my appointment to next week if this is going to make for a miserable weekend.. but I hate to cancel appointments, so I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge they can share.

Nope, you should feel perfectly normal. If you were having a root canal + crown, you might be swollen, but even that would only last a day.

I had a crown and root canal done. For just the crown, I might eat primarily on one side the next day, but that’s about it. If you had both, I would say it’s uncomfortable, but you should still be able to go. Have a good trip!

Thanks! The root canal on that tooth was done a couple years ago, so just the crown.
I have a very small mouth and I just keep thinking that it’s going to give me a lisp and it will feel funny, lol.

you should be fine! ive had a lot of dental work done in the last few years (because i hate the dentist and never went!), and i rmember my crown being a pretty easy recovery. it was just weird to feel it in my mouth at first!
