Thoughts…. In Feb. my 9year old was told the she has 2 small cavities in the front and 1 larger on the perm molar. She is frightened. So first the gas was a no go then the promethazine drink did not work. So they wanted to do general anesthesia…. There were maknig is sound that this cavity in the back needed to be taking care of right away. We almost did it then we just couldn’t do that to our baby. Looked for alternative and found another dentist. Just got back from her appointmen today and gues what…… NO CAVTITIES!!!! I am very glad we did not go through with any of that. But very angry at this place. I am worried that they are doing this to other families…

Shoud I report them or do nothing???? Thanks

get a second opinion, you still have a few months before your insurance runs out. Whether you go back to your old one, or find a new one.

ive had something similar happen, went to a routine dentist visit, and they happen to have specialist there that day doing wellness checks. Basically had two random woman “specialist” tell me i needed to have 4 teeth removed and gum surgery all from poking around my mouth for 5 minutes. I was extremely skeptical (ive spent years in braces and jaw surgery mind you) i wasnt about to let two randoms rip a bunch of teeth out of my mouth without getting the approval of my orthodontist.

in the end only had 2 teeth removed and a deep cleaning to fix my problems.

ive also heard horror stories over the years of dentist ripping people off for fillings and teeth removal for the insurance money they recieve for doing those types of procedures.

My dentist let’s me take the xrays home and shows me if there is a cavity, infection, dead tooth etc. Call the office and ask for the xrays then go to another office to have them reviewed.

You’re much better off paying for cavities to be filled then having 8 root canals when the cavities go untreated.GL.L
