Wasn’t an issue for us. We didn’t open our presents until after the honeymoon (we left the next day).

We deposited them like a day or two later. We didn’t go on a honeymoon.

We deposited it right after we got back from our honeymoon. I think depositing them as soon as possible is best.

@hecallsmelove:  If I were getting money (which I highly doubt that we will), I’d deposit it right away with the smart phone option.  That is so cool, Fiance has that as well!

We didn’t open our gifts until after we had gotten back from the honeymoon. So we deposited all of our checks then.

I’d deposit any money right away so you don’t risk losing it.

We plan to do it right away since we will be leaving for the honeymoon out of the country the next day. We don’t want to be carrying around checks that could get lost.

We have the same smartphone option with our bank, so I’m guessing we’ll probably do it the next morning.  I think it would be nice to wake up, get room service, and read all our cards/deposit the checks.

@hecallsmelove:  I think its best to do it ASAP, people want their checks cashed!  My bank is open 7 days a week, so we could go and do it any day.  I THINK we ended up doing it Monday because Sunday we went to Future In-Laws house to get our card box, and then opened everything at home and logged it in a spreadsheet.  We didn’t leave on our Honeymoon until the Wednesday after our wedding.

Can’t you deposit it at the ATM? For us it takes up to 7 days to process doing it that way, but since we are getting married on a Friday and leaving for our honeymoon Sunday, it seems like the safer bet. Perhaps for you two as well?

We deposited them within 3-4 days after our wedding. We didn’t leave for our Honeymoon until 2 weeks later.

We went to an ATM early Sunday morning (like 6:30am) and deposited everything, so teh cash was available right away (BoA scans the money in the machine), but the checks (except for the first $150 or $200 credited as a courtesy) got processed Monday. I think it’s best to do it right away so that you are not worried about losing anything and so that guests do not have outstanding checks undeposited.
