You can also use OpenOffice – it’s an open-source version of Office, with a few less features. (www.openoffice.org). Their “Writer” will be better than notepad.

But, yeah, for design, I recommend Adobe programs like Photoshop or InDesign – I designed my Save-The-Date Cards and invites in Photoshop.

Google The Wedding Chicks, they have free templates for all sorts of stuff, mega cute too!

I think WeddingChicks has some really pretty and free templates on their website. I know you can edit the monograms and personalize it online then download as a .jpeg, but I don’t know about the actual wording on their std’s/invites.
