I like picture 3 the best, but like you said. . . think it’d be weird for there to be a vertical picture with a horizontal on the back. Just my opinion. I would say send them out early – the earlier the better! Especially if it’s out of town.

lots of post cards that are sold in shops are vertical on the front and horizontal on the back, doesn’t really matter in my mind πŸ™‚

    i love the 3rd one.

i dont think it would be odd. if you are having alot of out of town guests i think it is best to sent them out 9 months beforehand. if not then 6 months is fine.

I like the 2nd and 3rd photo. I don’t think it would be wierd to have the back oriented differently – as long as the info is there :). Send them out asap – more notice is always better!

I like #3. #2 look like you’re dragging him to the altar and saying “we’re getting married.”

The vertical to horizontal thing doesn’t matter.

Wait, what about #1 with #3 or #2 right next to it? Like a collage?

I voted the first one, but if you like the vertical photos better, for my save the date we did the front vertical and back horizontal, so thats not a big deal.

For your back though – postal regulations require 3/4″ of white space at the bottom to print their barcode… so if you have your website there it will probably get covered up (assuming you mail these as postcards). I would just bump everything up a bit. And the heart for the date I would make narrower, it could be confusing as is because it also hits on the 22nd and 24th.

Really cute though, love the calender. πŸ™‚

I voted for photo #3, it is too cute!

I had a Friday Out of Town wedding and mailed my Save-The-Date Cards out nine months in advance. Even that early people still complained that they didn’t “know it was a Friday.” Lame!
