I live in Cincinnati, OH and there are several bridal stores in our bridal district that have designers in a wide range of prices. The store I am going to look at soon has gowns down in the 1000 range and all the way up to 15000-20,000. I think when you go you talk about what you want to spend with the bridal consultant and they will help find dresses in that range. Another place that is everywhere is Alfred Angelo. They have a lot of dresses in the range you said. I think Allure bridal also has dresses in that range and Forever Yours Bridal also comes to mind.

@Healingbirth:  Oh you should have plenty of options with access to those regions. Here’re some within your price range:

  • Justin Alexander
  • Olia Zavozina (I know her gowns are sold at L’FAY Bridal in NY) actually…L’FAY Bridal has tons of gorgeous gowns right w/in your range)
  • Demetrios
  • Lis Simon
  • Enzoani
  • Casablanca
  • Dennis Basso
  • Val Stefani
  • Pronovias
  • Alvina Valenta
  • David Tutera for MonCheri
  • Amy Kuschel
  • Kirstie Kelly

And the list goes on and on…

You should browse this page to determine what designers/styles you are interested in trying on, and then search around the regions you listed for bridal salons which carry these designers. Since you frequent NY, you also have access to some amazing bridal discount stores (including Filene’s Basement), so don’t rule those out. You never know what high-end designer you may find for much cheaper.

I suggest Maggie Sottero! I have one myself.

I would just go into a salon and give them your budget. A good consultant will be able to pull plenty of gowns that are in that price range, especially since a lot of big designers do fall under $3000.

Mine was a $1200 base price Casablanca, and I also looked at Allure, Maggie Sottero, Pronovias, Justin Alexander, WToo… I’ve also heard good things about Marisa, which has good quality gowns for less because they don’t advertise.

Check out Pronovias if you can get your hands on them in your area. Their gowns are my favorite (mine is from them). They’re based in Spain and I feel like the dresses are just so dreamy… and they’re really well made!

Many designers are in your range. All you have to do is tell your consultant what your budget is and that is what they will pull (Well, a good consultant). We can all sit here and list lots and lots of designers.

@Healingbirth:  I purchased an Enzoani gown at a sample sale for $1,961 that originally retailed for $3,139. So you may be able to find some Enzoani gowns in that range. Enzoani also has a less expensive line called Enzoani Blue. I’m not a fan of David’s Bridal either. Good luck!
