Personally, I am not a halo fan. Yet, if you’re going with a larger stone I think they look better. When you put a small stone with a halo, to me, it looks like you’re trying to make your stone look bigger than it is. (again, my opinion. I know a lot of bees love halos). What do you like about the halo? What do you dislike? Will you like it in 30 years?

Here is my ring. It’s a verragio couture 0374. 1.7ct (so a little smaller than you’re looking for) but my ring size is a 4.5.

@Mrsalmostthere:  Thank you πŸ™‚  Tacori makes one very simliar as well. I think that the halo takes away from the ring, personally. With your diamond being larger, it should be the main focal point. Have you looked at other styles or settings?

@FutureMrsKisie:  hmm..not sure why the picture is horizontal. My stone is 2.47, setting 1.1 and I love it πŸ™‚

While I think halos are beautiful, I really wanted a forever ring and I find them to be sort of trendy.  They might be a trend that stays around for a really long time and ends up being classic, but to be there’s nothing more classic than a round solitaire.  I almost didn’t get any sidestones at all, but I’m a blingy kind of girl and I thought it was more fitting if I did.  So, here is my stone.  2ct, ideal cut stone – I honestly can’t remember the details, I want to say it’s a G and I don’t know the clarity, but it sparkles and has so much fire, it’s insane.  Even the small side stones (I believe they’re .07ct each – for a total of 3 ct total in the ring) sparkle like mad.  I love it!

@chachaD:  I love the small halo around your center diamond.
