I’ve actually had my hair put into updos twice with similar length hair.  In these cases, bobbie pins were my best friends (I had more than 50 each time).  It actually made my hair look super long, when it really was only shoulder length.

I tried to pull out some pictures of it for you, but I didn’t get any good ones of the back of my head.

One was like this though:

Don’t freak out about how long your hair is.  There is PLENTY that a hairstylist can still do for you at the length you have.

Any maybe check this website: http://www.updosformediumlengthhair.org/

or: http://updosforshorthair.org/

Good luck!

I have fairly straight, thin hair (and LOTS of it) so I was unsure of what to do with mine as well. Thinking of opting for a half-up/half-down do with extensions. Is that an option for you at all? I didn’t want to post this bee’s picture, but I found this awhile ago… (the blonde)

wedding hairstyles for fine/thin hair?!

Here’s another thread with some ladies sharing their inspiration/day of half-up/half-down

Share your half up / half down dos!

I was initially wanting an updo similar to this one too:

Image Detail or just pulled sleek half back like on the right, with a beautiful large barret or headband?

could also do something like this , the curl is pinned to place so you wouldn’t have to worry about it falling out
