My wedding is coming up, and our baker ended up quiting. She is very nice, and a our of the home baker, but she over booked. The thing is, there arent that many bakeries around here, so they are VERY expensive. I think the average has been for 200 ppl SIMPLE cake about $400 All I wanted was a cream colored cake, with red ribboning on the bottom. We have a TON of flowers at our disposal so that was going to be our decoration. Fiance and I dont even like cake!!
Now, I am thinking it would almost be easier to have a dessert bar, but I have no idea how to go about it. I know I want a little cake to cut and take pictures, but everything else is just overwelming.
Has anyone done one, and how did it turn out? Any advice?
