Hey! I was wondering if anyone did a dessert buffet on top of a having a wedding cake at their reception?
How many varieties of desserts did you offer?
How many pieces per person?
My wedding will probably have around 175 guests (including 30 children)
I was thinking of 5-7 different types of desserts, but wasn’t sure of how many pieces of each.
Below is what I was thinking (3 pieces of desserts per guest)
Wedding cake – 1 slice per guest
-cookies (200 pieces)
-mini cinnabons (50 pieces)
-mini cupcakes (50 pieces)
– cheesecakes pops (50 pieces)
-chocolate fondue tower with fruits
-filipino leche flan – (50 servings)
-bread pudding (50 servings)
Does that sound like too much or not enough?
Thanks for your feedback!

We’re doing a traditional cake as well as a dessert table. For our dessert table we’re doing:
Mini Raspberry Cheesecakes
Cinnamon Doughnut holes
Chocolate Mousse cups
Mini Key Lime Tarts
Oatmeal, Peanutbutter and choc. chip cookies
Chocolate covered strawberries
We are having a small wedding of about 50 guests and planning for each guests to get 2 of each item on the table (some items are very miniature). We’re covering the cost to put our guests up in the hotel for the night, so we’re going to have boxes so that people can take extra snacks back to their room with them.

I think your numbers sound good. Our wedding is much smaller and you have way more people to feed. You don’t want to get stuck having a lot of uneaten food. Everything sounds delish!
