Thanks for everyones advice!!
My family and friends are big red velvet fans…and its my personal fave so I will probably just make a couple dozen…and a family friend is letting us use tablecloths and already said not to worry about stains so that is a plus. If it werent for those 2 factors I would definitely agree!! I didn’t even think about the kids loving M&M cookies..lol..I just thought they would be pretty in my colors.
Thanks for the advice! Were having an indoor recepetion with a huge kitchen so the cheesecakes should be okay in the fridge until serving time. Question–did people cut their own pieces or did you precut them. I guess I was scared of pies bc at familly get togethers, there is always a ton leftover…what kind did you have?

I’m commenting because I have the same questions! We are having a dessert bar too so I’d love to see what people had out for ideas! How many people are you having at your wedding? I don’t know how much of each thing to make…once I finally decide what we’re having!

I made the lemon bars at my wedding and they seemed pretty popular!

I am having between 150-200 people. We are having a small two tier cake (top layer is ours to keep) then roughly 50 cupcakes. Since we are having many other things on the table, everything else were are doing one big batch of. Like a large batch of choco chip cookies, large of m&m and then just one batch of brownies, and so on…not really counting. Were cutting the brownies small so people can take one small one and then something else too and not feel as guilty. We will most likely make more than needed but we LOVE desserts so leftovers are welcome 🙂 Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

Are lemon bars pretty simple to make and how do they keep? Is this something I can make a day or two before? I absolutely hate lemon anything except for lemonade, so I have no experience but I know many people do like them.

This is the recipe I used: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/the-best-lemon-bars/detail.aspx
They were really easy to make. I made them on a Friday for my Sunday wedding and they were awesome.
