I’ve been struggling to find a colour of bridesmaid dresses to match the colour I envision. It doesn’t seem to exist! I want a deep coral – so not the true pinky peachy coral, but one with more red and orange to it I guess. I thought the Firecracker colour from Dessy seems to be the closest, but the bridal shop I went to only had a a sample bridesmaid Firecracker dress in satin. I don’t want satin dresses, and know colours can look really different in another material.
Does anyone have any pictures of dresses they tried on at a bridal shop in firecracker in a chiffon material? Or pictures from a wedding with the maids in that colour? I have googled and found some but all the colours seem so different so I’m torn – some looked really pink, some a dull pink, some true coral. If you have any pictures to share, I would appreciate it ๐ Thanks so much!

I also had a really hard time finding Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses that matched my color. I ended up finding it on Weddington Way – they let you get really specific on color, more than any other website I checked. So I’d recommend at least checking into that option. ๐ Good luck bee!

For a price i believe Dessy will give you a sample of the color you want in the fabric you want. I do suggest Wedding Shoppe Inc.com though because their prices are WAAAAAAY less than dessy. The dresses i wanted for my girls were $260 at the bridal salon. I found them on weddingshoppeinc.com for $130!!!! My friend had us buy the twist wrap dress from Dessy for $180 little did i know the exact same dress was $98 on weddingshoppeinc.com.

melic7: Have you thought of David’s Bridal Guava color? It’s darker than coral, more reddish/orange to me. They are the ones I’m doing since I love coral but am having a fall wedding so wanted a slightly darker color!

melic7: The Dressy Group has a bunch of dresses in “firecracker” and they let you order a free swatch so you know how the color looks. ๐

I ordered samples of the Dessy colors that I was interested in. It did cost like $15 but they got to me quickly. As others mentioned, I think there are some websites that will give you tiny swatches for free. (Though I like having the big swatch, because now I can give a piece to the florist, the bridesmaids, etc)

Found this on Google. When I picked out my bridesmaid dresses (Alfred Sung dupioni) the shop had a binder of Dessy fabric samples in different colors & materials – maybe you could call around and find one of these if you don’t want to pay for a swatch.

melic7: Welcome to the bee! I love that colour. I had Dessy dresses and loved them. Fortunately for me, the shop where I purchased my dress and the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses gave me their colour swatch and it was imperative to me, I took it everywhere to check colour combinations. Good luck with it all.
