i prefer the carnation πŸ™‚ there would be more distinction between you and the bridesmaids with carnation πŸ™‚ and you’re the bride, it is your choice πŸ™‚

Oh- I did find a picture of the rose color! Its again, not on a real person but you can see the difference in a “real” picture!

I personally like the carnation. It will look better on most bridesmaids.

I prefer the carnation. I think the rose would wash people out. Plus, you’re the bride. Its your wedding. Its your choice.

I love the rose color, it’s that closer to neutral that lots of brides are doing nowadays. That being said, the darker carnation will flatter more skin tones and is more of a pink. The rose tone fad will be gone soon but bridesmaids have been wearing pink for forever. Up to you- you’re the bride. Trendy or timeless. Your girls will deal either way.

Carnation will “pop” more and will help your girls look less “washed-out” in photos!

I’m in a wedding in using dresses from dessy that are rose as the main color with a carnation belt.  Honestly, I would have rathered wear it the other way around, with carnation as the main color.  I’m a pale person, and I know the color is just going to totally wash me out…. the dresses aren’t in yet, but I can send you a pic when they do come in if that helps.

If your bridesmaids are pale, the rose color will definitely wash them out.  I’m really white, and I know that color would make me look awful.  However, if your ladies have darker skin, it would look really beautiful on them.  Consider the skin tones of your bridesmaids.  I personally perfer the carnation πŸ™‚
