My Fiance and I are in a bit of a debate over the bridesmaid dress and groomsmen tux situation; the girls all want to wear Quarry dresses but Fiance thinks that it will be too much gray with the guys in gray tuxes and had wanted at least two of them in Daisy. My plan was quarry dresses with yellow shoes and accessories and the guys in a complementing gray tux with yellow ties and possibly vests. Here’s the dresses the girls like:
And here are the fabric samples Dessy sent me of both Daisy and Quarry:
My fear of going all Daisy or even two, is that it’s just so obnoxiously yellow and I think the Quarry looks sharper and classier for our Fall wedding. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think it is fine to have gray dresses and gray tuxes. Use the daisy for accessories because yellow can be really loud. Maybe the can wear yellow shoes to mix it up a bit?
I am actually looking at the same dresses!

I used those dresses but the scoop neck one in quarry on 4 bridesmaids and really liked the effect. Our other colour was chartreuse and we brought it in wih their bouquets and other decor. Pm me if you want to see pics

I would keep all quarry. The yellow accessories, flowers, and ties will brighten things up. Also, the girls will probably be more likely to re-wear a grey dress than a yellow dress.

That’s what I’m thinking!!! The dresses are gorgeous in quarry but in daisy I feel like they’ll be sent straight to the back of the closet. Heck one bridesmaid has already asked if I mind if she wears it to her Christmas party after the wedding and I’m like, HELL YEAH! 🙂

Since it is a fall wedding you could do a different colour pashmina to break it up too.
I do like the all grey 🙂

Great idea and you never know if it’ll be chilly in Michigan in October!

@phoenixandstars: Hey! Our MOHs have the same dress!!! 🙂 I agree with all grey dresses and yellow accessories. Perhaps the suits could be a dark grey (or even navy).

I’m not a fashionista so please forgive me.. but wouldn’t grey on bridesmaid and grey on groomsmen be alittle too matchy matchy?
Maybe do alternating colors of bridesmaids with opposite color sash?
Grey with yellow sash
Yellow with grey sash
and so on and so forth….?
Then all the men can have grey with the yellow because well they dont really have a whole lot of options unlike us women 😀

Thanks for all the input ladies!!! Last night the Fiance and I sat down and went over the fabric samples and I showed him the different weddings I had found that did gray dresses with gray tuxes and he was still not convinced. Sooooooooo… we compromised and will have two girls in gray with their groomsman wearing a yellow vest and tie to add more yellow to the couple, and the other two girls will have yellow dresses with their groomsman wearing only a yellow tie. I have to admit this will liven up our palette significantly without the yellow being overpowering, and I was happy we were able to come to a compromise where we both walked away happy.
Who knew he’d be so concerned about this? LOL! (I think it’s a result of him being raised with three sisters.)
The best part is that my Maid/Matron of Honor had already volunteered to wear yellow and when I asked the other Bridesmaid or Best Man she was overjoyed she’d get to be the other yellow dress so it really all worked out for the best!
So glad that got solved!

Yellow is a hard color to wear for some people. If they all love the grey, and you love the grey, go for it. It’s a lovely color, and I think the yellow accents will look awesome. They’ll really stand out, I think.
