I wasn’t the bride, but I was involved in planning since I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man. My Girlfriend wasn’t allowed to book a year out. She ended up booking approx 9 months out, sent the invites about 4 months out and just did an email save the date. Try and find a travel agent that will match the price for everyone if it goes down, that’s what my friend got.

Actually we went to the same area as you, if you’re looking for places my friend was really happy with the resort – it was the Iberostar Paraiso Maya. They got upgraded to the Grand for the last few days, which apparently won nicest resort in Mexico. It has a lazy river, a carousel for the cutest wedding photos ever, and everything turned out great. Every 11th room was free too. They had 50 people so they got their flights and some for free. Its also 4 resorts in one, so its really big.

@SupermansSweetheart:  Nice Barcelo is really nice too… Plus, its hot and sunny – you can’t go wrong. You are escaping the rain 🙂
