I didn’t invite any of them. they didn’t even know I was getting married until just before I headed off for two weeks.

@Ms. Blue:  Nope didnt invite any of them! I only work with 9 people so it would be impossible for them to go anyways. But really we are not that close for them to even be invited to my ceremony I’m having here either

Our approach to the list was to invite anyone we would have invited to a local wedding and just see who can come. So I invited my work group (5), 2 former bosses that are still mentors and friends, and a handful of girls that met through work but am friends with outside of the office as well.

I figured it would be better not to hurt feelings and avoid awkward conversations where they ask about a wedding they aren’t invited too.

Fiance didn’t inivte anyone from work, but he also will be leaving his job just before the wedding and they all know that.

I kind of assumed that having a destination wedding implicitly let me off the hook from inviting coworkers. I looked at it like, if you’ve never been to my house (or vice versa) why would you travel across several states to go to my wedding? Why would I ask you to and why would you want to? But I got the impression that my boss was disappointed and a little hurt not to be invited. Oh well.

no, but they were invited to my AHR.  I invited my firneds. and I happen to work with some of them, but that’s different in my opinion.

My Fiance has his boss and I have a co-worker on our finalized guest list. That being said, these two individuals are close to both of us and we spend time with them outside of work. So, they are friends first, co-workers second…
