- Wedding: December 2012
My Fiance and I took our first trip to vegas, and have decided that we would like to get married there. We managed to find an awesome package from one of the chapels to do the ceremony in the Grand Canyon! Its 4000 and Includes transportation to the chapel, flowers, photos, videos, ceremony and a helicopter ride to and from the grand canyon. The only thing is that only 2 people can come with us. We’ve chosen a sibling each, closest in age, which we also socialize with. The symbolism is that they reperesent all those great people in our life.
I dont want to ask people to travel from canada for the ceremony, especially since the extra cost will double the price of the ceremony if we want to bring even four more people, but we still want to celebrate with our love ones. So we are thingking of having a vegas style reception here and having my fiances grandfather (a minister) bless the union as well as show the video of the ceremony itself. Im just worried about offending people.
Should we just cut out the destination ceremony, or the at home reception? The whole thing leave me wanting to pull a Jim&Pam from the office lol, getting married elsewhere and just not saying anything, then going on with the at home wedding like nothing ever happened!
