I got married in Hawaii. Weather was a very sunny and somewhat humid at +27 Celsius, not sure what that is in F. My dress was chiffon and lace, there was a satin layer under the skirt part. Even though the top was airy, I was miserable. I’m the type hates to sweat so I was really cranky. By the time we finished the ceremony + pictures, I was almost begging to be out of the dress. Luckily, where my head table was positioned, and with the thick linen, I literally had the skirt rolled up underneath lol.

Oh and to answer your question, I prefer the 2nd dress. I really like the delicate straps!

I feel your pain! I am in the same boat (literally haha) I’m getting married in Croatia in Aug this year. My ceremony is on an island meaning 1. I have to get into a boat in heels and my dress. 2. I’m going to look like a hegehog by the time I arrive if I wear my hair down!

Vainly, I have gone against all of the things that would make me comfortable. My dress is fitted, my heels are high and my hair will be down! I wanted to feel like ‘me’ on the day. So I’ll deal with the rest! I imagine it depends on how uncomfortable you will feel if you’re too hot and if you can manage it. Is it all outside or is your meal etc inside with aircon? Xx

    Danielle8 :

Here’s the bottom part of my dress, the front top part was structured and the back had a keyhole lace so pretty exposed. The bottom part only had two layers, maybe even 3! The dress only weighs like 4 pounds.  I was still sweating which annoyed me to no end  just between all of the walking and taking pictures and the heat. I’m not going to lie, I was so cranky that I was almost in tears. I actually changed for the evening part, after the speeches were done. Got a short a line white dress from ebay, that had a lace top too… it felt good not to be wearing something so heavy.

Here’s my dress for reference.. I wish I would’ve gone with something flowy and lacy.

I love the second dress. Would it be possible to try it with a very small hoop? Just big enough to hold it off your legs, its like dress air conditioning. My dress was pretty heavy lots of layers. Our wedding day was hot and humid but thanks to the hoop, I was relatively comfortable
