It’s a 10 hour flight for us and we usually stay 7-10 days. We’re going back for our anniversary and will probably stay 8.

Amy Elizabeth :  it’s a 5.5-6hrs straight flight for me. Whenever we go to the islands we stay 7-10days roughly. Maui doesn’t have tons other than lots of beach stuff and road to Hana. 10 days was plenty for us. You can get away with shorter, but combining your private dw and honeymoon I’d say 10ish days would be perfect. Unless you can take more time, spend more money on expensive food/drinks and overnight accommodations then I’d go maybe 12, but we tend to spend 1/3rd of our days with activities and the rest with drinking and beach days and we kinda got alil bored with 10days, but we didn’t have a private ceremony with our time either😊

Amy Elizabeth :  is this your first time visiting maui? I would say at least 7 full days there. We go to Maui every year (getting married there this july), and in our experience anything under 7 days flies by too fast. Road to Hana can be pretty exhausting (depending on how far you are willing to drive), so if you decide to do it, plan at least a day for a trip and a day to recover. To me 10 days sounds like a perfect vacation/honeymoon, but I am biased. I would stay on Maui forever, if I could 😀

Oh… I love Maui. Love it. I agree with the other posters in that about 7-10 days would be ideal if you are getting married there. I would be happy to share the things I did, places I visited, if you are interested…. I didn’t want to just start posting random stuff if you already have these things sorted out.

from where I live Maui is a 5-6 hour flight, but I gained two hours (set the clock back) when I landed so the first day wasn’t just wasted on getting there… I was in the pool by 2pm Hawaii time.  I would love to hear your plans if you would like to share. If I was having a destination wedding… hands down that it would be in Maui.

I don’t go to Hawaii from the East Coast for less than 10 days, preferably longer. 🙂
