I just got back from my Destination Wedding in the Dominican at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana. It was amazing and so easy to plan. If your set on Mexico, I stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe in the Mayan Riviera a few years ago and it was a really nice resort- maybe look into that one? Also, my SIL had her wedding at Grand Palladium in the Mayan and although it was before I knew her she highly reccomended it as well.

No problem! Check out bestdestinationweddings.com too for reviews. The Bahia Principe wedding planners were so great to work with 🙂 Good luck with planning!

We do not have kids so I can’t say much on that. RIU treated us very well and we have had a couple all inclusive vacations with them in Mexico and the Dominican. I think they have a child care program, not sure. They do have beautiful wedding spaces. Our resort in Cancun had an old temple on the grounds. Gorgous!

fellyfel06:  peninsula palace I think… It had palace in the name. I cannot upload a pic from my phone. It’s white with the sides lower than the middle, the middle is much taller and has a gap in the middle. Hope that helps if you see pictures

I would look for a travel agent that specializes in weddings and group bookings in your area. Even if you just contact them to get pricing and recommendations on which resorts are good that will help you narrow your search down a bit.

Decide what is most important to you and your fiance. For example:

Child friendly (do they have onsite daycare, activities for kiddies)

Big resort vs. small (bigger ones will have people and more activities/amenities like restos etc)

How close it is to the nearest airport

Who will give you the most bang for your buck in terms of wedding package/freebies they’ll throw in for bride and groom or wedding groups

I’m a Canadian bee who just got married in Cuba so I now full well how overwhelming the search for the perfect resort can be!

Azul Sensatori Riviera Maya. Gorgeous all inclusive and kid friendly. I stood up in my friends wedding there earlier in the month. She had kids and there were kid friendly areas with easy beach access. I think she used vacations 4 less travel agents to get better rates. I saw many beach weddings. She had hers on a rooftop.
