fellyfel06:  Good nightlife, it’s a pretty big resort so you had a good mix of young people and families. There was a specific lounge that was pretty popular called the Mojito Lounge where they had a DJ and an patio overseeing the resort. They also had live entertainment at night, fire performers and music for dancing.

Hello, we are getting married in playacar Mexico, the beach is outta this world we have been twice & knew we had to have our wedding here.

Honeslty, deciding on your resort depends on your budget, & not so much YOUR budget but your guests budget, what they plan on spending.

We hired a wedding planner with destinationwedding.com & our wedding planner has been amazing.

We are getting married in 3 weeks at Riu Palace Peninsula.  I needed a place that was kid-friendly too. I will let you know afterwards how it went.

It’s the Grand Palladium complex. The complex is actually 5 resorts. There’s the Colonial, Kanteenah, Riviera, White Sands and the Royal. If you stay in any of the first 4 you have access to everywhere except the Royal. If you stay in the Royal (more expensive part of the resort) you have access to the entire complex. We stayed in the White Sands last time we went. It’s a great resort and I highly recommend it. If you Google Grand Palladium Riviera Maya it’ll come up.

Also there’s a Facebook group for brides. BDW grand palladium riviera Maya you have to message the admin to be added but I’ve learned a lot on that page and get to see real testimonials and photos from real brides who got married there 🙂  here’s a picture of the gazebo were getting married in I believe it’s in the white sands section of the resort

I second the Grand Palladiums.  I just got back from Punta Cana Dominican Republic with a friend, where we stayed at the Grand Palladium (3 resorts in 1, technically 4 if you pay to upgrade) and it was AHHHMAZING!!! When I get married, I’m seriously considering this.  we witnessed 4 weddings in the 6 days we were there, and they were all beautiful.  I can’t imagine anything being nicer than that.  It looked like the staff took care of everything.  Two of the weddings were people coming from Mexico to get married.  Maybe it’s cheaper in DR Than Mexico?

fellyfel06:  We were there off season but they did have different events going on each night.  One night there was a casino night thing where you could play different casino games for prizes.  They also have a disco that’s open late (honestly don’t remember the hours).  We haven’t had our wedding yet but I’ve seen a ton of very satisfied brides on the facebook page I mentioned above.  When Fiance proposed there was no question THAT was where we were getting married 🙂  I honestly can’t wait.
