@VF1221:  First of all, congratulations on your engagement! You must be SO excited! Three places come to mind when I read you criteria. The first is Beaches Turks and Caicos.  They have a beautiful wedding gazebo, in the grass, overlooking the sea. Receptions can take place in numerous areas on the grounds and they do have one location that I can think of where the receiption can be both inside and outside.  The others are in Jamaica. Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and The Caves.  Iberostar has a beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean. They also offer indoor and outdoor reception space.  The Caves is in Negril. The coast line in that area is all rock so it’s grass to the coast line, it makes for an amzaing back drop for the ceremony and reception.  I have photos of these if you would like them. Don’t get discouraged with the response time from the Caribbean. They work on their own time!  Keep after them though. There are many other options  I hope this helps.

We are going with Jamaica and the resort, a well known couples resort, has several locations on the resort….beach, gazebo overlooking the ocean, gardens. One word of caution. From personal experience, if you need your marriage certificate immediately (for us it was for insurance reasons) the Jamaica takes 8-10 weeks. We ended up having to do a courthouse ceremony sooner for that reason. Our Jamaica in November will then be a vow renewal. Jamaica Grande Riviera has a stunning stone open gazebo with fountain overlooking the ocean. That’s my choice.

We just had our wedding in Nassau, bahamas at the Sandals Royal Bahamian and they made out day so perfect. We loved it and the photos they took were amazing! Here are just a couple. We had the basic wedding that was included free with the 6-7 night honeymoon stay.

Im getting married at the Paradisus Punta Cana in Dominican Republic. They have a beautiful beach gazebo (not on the sand) and several reception areas. We are having our reception by the pool. We are expecting around 30 people and our cost is WAY below 15k.

You should look at their website- http://www.paradisus.com . Make sure to pick the Paradisus PUNTA CANA resort. They have an other resort in DR and it’s a bit pricier.

I am getting married in St Thomas…Sugar Bay resort. Our wedding is coming up in October…..planning a destination wedding is def trying my patience…..It’s been challanging trying to plan even thou we are only having about 20 people it’s a lot of work trying to get everyone on the same page!

Our ceremony will be on a roof top terrace overlooking the ocean but not in the sand….best of both worlds!

It is also very private which was important to us!

@Otulyssa:  How did you find pricing for wedding photographs? We were ready to get married at Sandals, but the free package didn’t include much and we found the photographs SO expensive. I didn’t want to come home from a beautiful ceremony with 12 pictures that I paid $1000 for!
