- Wedding: May 2014
We are having our Destination Wedding in Outer Banks, NC. We both wanted it to be pretty small and intimate. We are planning to invite just immediate family. We are looking to have around 15 to 20 guest. But recently some of our relatives said something about not being able to make it, so we are now looking to just have 9 guest. We have already reserved a house for 20 people (we thought it would be nice for us to provide accomodations so they wont be worrying about getting a hotel and such), we booked our Caterer for 20 guest. Officiant and photographer are already booked and I have a wedding planner since both of us are not good handling stress of planning. My question is FH and I are debating wether to book a DJ to have the announcement and first dance. FH wants to have the announcement and first dance, it’s something that is very important for him. On the other hand, I am just fine not to have it since I felt like it is not necessary to have a DJ for such a pretty small number of guest.
We will have a tent reception on the event house since FH wants to keep it simple and private.
Anyone have any input on how to have the announcement and first dance without a DJ, what did you do? Or will it sound silly to have a DJ to do those with such a small number of guest?
