I need any info and help on a destination wedding in Bora Bora.
It seems to be hard to find any info on wedding moon packages unless its in the Caribbean.
The only 3 hotels that I see that have wedding vacation packages in BB are 4 Seasons, Sofitel, & SPM Hotels.
Can anyone share their experience or info on what they know? Anything that all?
Are the local photographers good?
A little brief my wedding background stress: we actually booked a venue & even put down a non-refundable deposit in Los Angeles but now I’m having 2nd thoughts on having a wedding here and seriously considering having an intimate destination wedding with just the 2 of us with no guests.
Any thoughts, comments, opinions would be highly appreciated. Thanks bees! xo

I’d say hire a wedding planner! I’ve sent you a message with more help!

I heard weddings in Bora Bora are not legal in the U.S. So you will need to marry before you leave. Could be wrong.

I was going to have a planned elopement (what you’re doing) to Bora Bora but we are having a small ceremony in Hawaii with 12 guest now. I could never find a package I liked in Bora Bora, it was super frustrated. I didn’t want all the extra crap lol. I know Pearl Beach Resort also has packages.
Also, like Peachytalk:
said, unless you live in French Ploynesia for 30 days before your wedding, you can not get legally married there. I was planning on getting married at JOP before we left and then just having a ceremony there, but now there’s no need since it’s super easy to get married in Hawaii. You would also have to have all of your important documents translated to French.

This stupid site isn’t letting me edit…
But I know some of the packages have photographer/videographer but I didn’t want that. I found some that I liked. Obviously, I’ve never used them, I can only go off what’s on their website.
She was my favorite and who I was planning on using. I never could find a videographer I wanted.

I took a quick look at the photos in the link you provided. They were really nice then there was this super weird photo in the “beata and Diran” album and I was like wtf? Lol. It’s a photo where the bride looks dead in the water. She looks like a great photographer Tho!”

It has been months since I’ve looked at her site (we stopped planning this and started planning Hawaii back in January/February) but I know exactly which picture you are talking about… it’s so creepy!! And idk why you would get in that nasty water with your dress haha.

So I was able to find out some more info.
Weddings in Bora Bora seem do-able and I was able to find an a-la-carte wedding “package”.
It was $300 for ceremony, $200 for officiant, and $300 for photography. I didn’t factor in flowers & stuff either…but from the sounds of it, I can get a wedding under $1k
I’m still not sure what to do at this point.
We went from a small intimate local wedding in Los Angeles, CA to a bigger size traditioanl wedding to a de-constructed wedding (one in LA, one in SF, one in Philadelphia) to a destination wedding and now a destination wedding with a reception after we get back or before we leave for Bora Bora.
I am super frustrated because I am having analysis paralysis and can’t seem to decide anything at this point.
Just needed to vent. Thank you bees.
