Hey all I am having sort of a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. I say sort because I am from there (but living in Dallas) and my whole family is there (so it is not really destination for me). It is a destination wedding for everyone on my fiance’s side.
Anyways back to the question. I am going to Puerto Rico next month to do my decor trial and hair an make up trial, and also to visit our venue. I want to know (other than meeting with important vendors) what are the must do’s for destination brides when visiting the destination location??
I wont be back until a week before the weeding so if there’s anything I should take care of now, please tell!!

Are you buying your dress in puerto rico or in texas? Because if you’re traveling with your bag you may want to arrange to have someone steam out the wrinkles once you arrive

The only big thing I can think of is the cake/food tasting if you are going to do that. Otherwise you should be set. =)

Maybe check out the hotel where the majority of guests will be staying? As well as transportation options from the airport to the hotel (so you can put this info on the website).
I’d also just spend some time wandering around the immediate area surrounding the hotel, ceremony, and reception so you can put some “things to do” or “must see’s” on the website.
You could also look for local products to go into guests welcome bags (if you are going to do that).
I also agree with finding someone who can steam your dress, as well as a good nail salon.
