we got married in St. Thomas at the marriott. We did not do all inclusive but they do have an option we just found it to be way too expensive we had 28 at our wedding and with the most expensive food option and top of the line open bar for 4 hours plus the premium time slot (sunset) for our ceremony we spent about 10k

I am getting married on St John this weekend!  We used a wedding planner (I’ll PM you the website). Our total wedding cost is about 7k including dress, invitations, etc.  i learned a lot of ways to save money, learned a lot the hard way lol, but overall I’m thrilled with it!

ashleearielle:  thank you!  First, we didn’t do an all inclusive for our guests, but we found a place in St Thomas that was amazing and affordable and the ferry ride to St John is super easy!  We are staying at an all inclusive resort so we get privacy for the honeymoon!  The rooms for our guests cost the same amount or less than my local area actually!

We decided against renting chairs for our 15 minute ceremony because there was a 250 dollar set up fee plus 20 dollars a chair. We are only having 12 guests so that seemed crazy!  There are places to sit before the ceremony so people won’t be standing forever!

we found an amazing brunch restaurant for our reception (has great reviews and they’ve been fantastic to work with) and the entrees run about 12 dollars a person!  People will have an awesome selection and I could customize the meals / menu / drinks!

I spent a lot of time finding great quality stuff at amazing prices. I’ve had coworkers work in St Thomas so I had some help. We liked the planner and beaches (More secluded in St John) which is why we went with St John.

Not relating to a wedding but I know a lot about St. John. My grandparents go there every winter for three months for the last thirty years. I have been to St. John twice in the last year. St. John is absolutely stunning. Very expensive though since its parkland. I’ve always thought it would be cool to do a boat tour around all the islands. Actually a guy quoted me at 600$ for a day which isn’t too bad if you split it with other people. I just got back -two weeks ago from a ten day trip. Flew from jfk to st thomas then ferry to St. John then we flew from st thomas to San Juan (cheap 50$ flight) to attend a wedding at la concha in San Juan. Absolutely stunning resort but the beaches do not compare.

ashleearielle:  I am thinking about the Virgin Islands too! Have you had any luck in your research?

We are getting married in September 2016 with only 10-15 people in attendance so that makes it a little cheaper.

My Fiance and I were thinking of having our destination wedding in the exact same places! Ultimately we chose Puerto Rico because flights there were much cheaper than the Virgin Islands and also the hotel prices were much more reasonable. We’re having about 30 people coming and we really wanted to make sure it was affordable for them.

babybumblebee17:  We found a condo style place for our guests around 100 a night (during high season when it’s most expensive) that was really nice but wasn’t a resort whlie we stayed at an all inclusive that we got in a package deal.  Airfare was between 400-700 round trip depending on distance and how far in advance they bought.

airfare was 450-600 a person depending on where they flew out of and our rooms were 160 a night with our room block
