MemberHi everyone! We live in Wisconsin and looking at doing an April 2018 destination wedding in Savannah! It’s so hard to plan from up here! Any suggestions? We are looking for ideas for rehersal/welcome dinner, hotels, activities/ideas for guests, transportation, hair/make-up and just anything in general. Thank you so so much for any help you can give me!!!!!
MemberI don’t have any ideas on vendors but wondered if you had thought about early or late April? We would go there for spring break in late March & it is usually so cold that we end up wearing sweatshirts on the beach (tybee island). So I would think early April would still be quite chilly. Just a thought.
Pit woukd be a great place for a wedding though! I’m actually going there in 2 weeks for a bachelorette party & there are so many fun things to do in Savannah!
MemberAnyway, search for elopments in Tybee. There is one vendor that a family friend used that has lots of options for locations, etc. I do not know what kind of pricing or options might be avalable but lots of people have weddings there. Also, check out Mermaid Cottages, they are so nice and cute and you can host the whole family in some, or just you and your bridesmaids. Also, some of the hotels and B&Bs have wedding packages, check them too.

We have booked 2 hotels with complimentary blocks but yes assume many of our guests will stay at other places especially if they have points somewhere. We are definitely looking into renting a trolley for a ghost tour! How fun is that! We also found a Packer bar in the area so going to see if we can bring food in there one night for guests! We are submitting application tomorrow for Forsyth park so keeping my fingers crossed we get that for the ceremony. So many little details!
