bkprettygirl:  We had our destination wedding in Cuba and we stayed for 10 days while the guests stayed for 7 days. Looking back we should have made it longer then that cause we really only got a few days together and longer would have been nice. We stayed at the same resort cause frankly I was too exhausted to even think about packing up and going somewhere else other than home!

We are having a Destination Wedding on the South side of Maui.  For honeymoon, we are changing resorts to the North / West area to get away.

We considered island hopping, but didn’t want to waste another day traveling!

bkprettygirl:  If you have the money and the energy then I say do it! We want to see as much of the world as possible too so it wasn’t even a question whether we’d have a seperate honeymoon destination when we decided to have our wedding in Spain, yes we’ll probably be exhausted after 5 days in Spain for the wedding then 3 hour flight home, 4 hour train to Airport then another 10 hour flight, but will it be worth it? YES! You only get married once!

If you’re interested in Europe I can recommend Majorca in Spain, some of the most stunning scenery, history & great weather! Or Barcelona, amazing diverse city with far too much to see & do, or Greece, great weather, beautiful beaches & lots of history. Or if you’re looking for somewhere less ‘relaxing’, Amsterdam is fantastic for bars & restaurants, shopping & culture, & an hour outside the city you have amazing scenery. Good luck wherever you choose!
