http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/ is a good one, they have a forum to ask questions in. I don’t personally use the forum, so I don’t know how active it is. All the others I could find seemd to be planning sites. Hope this helps

@serendipity9.8: i second this suggestion as well.

also http://www.destinationweddings.com has lots of real wedding stories from tons of different resorts all over the caribbean. they are good to book with if you want to do a group package and can have a minimum of people booking early.  if not, there is just lots of great info on DWs to see on the site.

I would also definetely recommed checking out destionationweddings.com! I personally used them and couldn’t say enough great things. They were so helpful choosing the right location and making sure all of our guests got the best rate possible. We ended up doing a September wedding in Mexico, which is techincally hurrican season so prices were a little less expensive. The weather was AMAZING! And all of our family and friends can’t stop talking about what an amazing time they had at our Destionation Wedding! Hope this little review helps, best of luck 🙂

I can definitely recommend destinationweddings.com they were such help when we started planning our destination wedding.  Initially my biggest challenge was choosing the right resort that would please all my guests and they helped me do that and made me really confident that I would be in the right place.  Even better, they managed to get my top choice resort at a price that was below my budget!  I was so happy to prove my husband wrong! haha!  He didn’t think they could do it!  When it came to booking travel their service was professional, prompt and convinient.  They even allowed payment plans to be set up where you could pay as you go for the reservation!  i don’t know many other companies that can do that and its a very attractive option for your guests who may be on the fence about booking because of all the upfront payments. They also were really reassuring on the travel days with 24/7 availability incase anything went wrong with flights, delays or anything travel related.  they helped me understand how to work with the resort in terms of money saving techniques and lots of do it yourself options.  And at the end of it all, because of all the perks and bonuses you get working with them, they sent me back a cheque for $330!  No JOKE!  How often do you hear that?  So, all in all, i can’t recommend them highly enough…they are truly the best.  Good luck!

We did the same thing… we were a little further south in Riviera Maya. We also used destinationweddings.com which made the planning process very simple. We had ours at the Iberostar Grand and you can watch a silly video that my hubby and I made upon our arrival:).

Good luck!!!

I couldn’t agree more with getting married in Cancun.  That’s where my wife and I did it and it can be a daunting task!

My wife found a company to help.  I thought she was throwing away money when she paid the $50 fee for the initial webinar and access to a wedding consultant.  But the session was very informative and the wedding consultant was beyond helpful.  She is the picture of what quality customer serivce is!

We got married at El Dorado Maroma in Cancun.  Small, all inclusive resort that matched us perfectly and it was recommended by our wedding consultant – Maureen.

The company we used is DestinationWedding.com.  We really cannot speak higher of them!

Good Luck!!!!
