hey hive, i’m just SIX DAYS AWAY (eeek!) and finally took time to document with my trusty ol’ camera some of the smaller details of my (mostly DIY) stuff. it looks like carolina blue threw up all over my house, but i love it!
DIY Pinwheel Centerpieces, with tables named for cities, and pic of couple in that city:
Escort Cards consisting of “polaroid” pictures of each guest on bulletin boards (IDEA TOTALLY STOLEN FROM DANADELPHIA!) 😉
Favors – little tins with yummy Jellybelly jelly beans!
Teensy framed photos of our grandparents (and one beloved dog) who have passed away. My side will be attached to my bouquet, and his side will be attached to the inner pocket of his suit jacket.
Out of Town bags for guests arriving at hotel:
Inside the Out of Town bags are our personal “guides” to the town, cleverly named (or so I like to think): GOOD EATS, GOOD TIMES, and GOOD DIRECTIONS
DIY Personalized Water Bottle Labels! I was pretty proud of myself for pulling this one off.
For the Bubble Send-Off
DIY Ceremony Programs
My fancy shoes (for ceremony) and dancy shoes (for reception)
Ties for the Guys!
Garters with my beloved UNC logo
Presents for groomsmen, bridesmaids, and parents!

thanks, ladies, for all the nice comments!
@future mrs kirsch – there’s a free program you can download called Poladroid that will turn regular photos into old-school looking polaroids. we then printed them on photo paper and used a font like handwriting to add the person’s name and table assignment. we used facebook to get most guests’ photos and we are only missing 3 so far; here’s hoping we get them this week! 🙂 all credit goes to danadelphia for this idea!!!!
@faithita, yes this hurricane business is making me nervous. stay away, i say!
