I was just wondering what are the ‘little details’ that you are most excited about for your wedding – not the big stuff like cakes and dress – but the little things that you are excited about.
Married bees, what little details or DIYs were you most excited about and were totally worth it and were there any details that you put money and effort into that you ultimately felt weren’t worth it?

I love the headbands I made for our flower girls. I can’t wait to see them in action.
I’m also in love with my idea for something from each of my four grandmothers (the two normal ones, my grandfather’s second wife, and my paternal grandmother’s best friend who kind of adopted my dad after my grandmother passed away when he was little). I’m going to carry something from each of them. I’m still trying to figure out what I can carry from my paternal grandmother and from my paternal step-grandmother, but I’m going to wear my maternal grandmother’s mink stole and my adopted grandmother’s necklace (that’s made from her mother’s wedding and engagement rings).

TOTALLY worth it:
*engraved, formal invitations and coordinating, professionally printed programs
*elevated floral centerpieces.
NOT so worth it:
*a Badgle Mischka bridal purse that almost no one ever saw.
Wish I would have spent MORE money on:
* my dress (which was 100 percent silk, had bling, and was $2,100, but I wish I had taken the time to find out what else was “out there.”)
* my photographer and videographer (both of whom were highly recommended by the venue I chose but in whose work I was ultimately disappointed after comparing it with others I’ve since seen.)
