I’m not usually an emotional person but this month has really done it.
Last month things were looking great. My 2nd to last semester had great results despite covid, my fiance and I were looking forward to our wedding, where I live had been covid free for a while and overseas family were in safe areas and would be able to safely travel in for the wedding. Then the shit hit the fan.
We are back in lockdown, university is a nightmare, overseas family suddenly got caught in a 2nd wave of covid in their area too, the wedding that was so likely last month is cancelled and the hardest blow of all, my grandma passed from covid she suddenly caught while in hospital after an accident. She was the last of my grandparents left and the one I was closest to, and they haven’t even been able to bury her because the number of deaths overwhelmed the system and they are unable to issue a death certificate at this point.
I am simultaneously so numb and so distraught, I’m not really sure how to cope. Sorry this is so depressing thank you for giving me a space to get that off my chest.

Oh gosh that’s definitely a lot to deal with in such a short period of time. I’m so sorry. I agree with the pp just try to take it one day at a time. Hugs.

I’m so sorry, bee. It will take time to process everything. It’s even more jarring when all that happens at once.
Not only are you grieving the loss of your grandma, you are grieving the loss of the wedding you were so looking forward to.
Take it one day at a time and just know that you are not alone and that things will get better with time. Be kind to yourself in the interim
