Our ages are swapped with yours. Just went off the pill in Octobe. I really haven’t been doing anything except track my monthly. i am already a little stressed due to my age so figure we should just have fun and hope for the best! Even seeing the acronyms stress me out. Like what is opk lol

I’m 31.  My husband is only 26 though.  We are TTC our first child, but started off with a miscarriage right out of the gate.  So now we are trying again.  Good luck with everything and I hope things work out for you right away!  I have found temping extremely helpful in letting me know whats going on with my body, and giving me some feeling of control.

LVtennisgirl80:  I’m 35 and my husband is 30. I had my IUD removed on Wednesday and we are officially trying to get pregnant! I bought a Clearblue ovulation predictor kit and this morning it gave me the smiley face, indicating that I am at my most fertile time of the month. I had originally hoped to get pregnant next month but if it happens this month then that’ll be OK too. Very exciting! Being 35 means that my pregnancy will be considered high risk and my age is one of the reasons that we didn’t want to wait too much longer to start trying.

Kat14:  OPK stands for ovulation predictor kit and Darling Husband stands for “dear husband” 🙂

LVtennisgirl80:  Here here!

I’m 34 and Darling Husband is 36 (we’ll both turn a year older in February)… and we just started TTC in September, although timing was WAY off in September and October, so I am really counting November as month #1.

I had been tracking my period for years, but started using Fertility Friend (upgraded to VIP – worth it) in July to start tracking then, since we started talking about it. I was still on BC until September, so it’s been an eye opener on how short my cycles are without being on BC (was always 28-29 days, and now have been 23-26 days).

Hi! I’m 35 (very close to 36 :/) and Darling Husband is 33. We got married this past spring and were planning to start TTC  in January, but figured, what the hell, so we’re going to begin this month!

I’m only on CD5 right now so I’m just taking prenatals and we will see how it goes. Ordered a BBT and Wondfo (sp?) OPKs but they probably won’t arrive in time for this cycle.

Hopeful despite the fact that I’m the dreaded 35. Haven’t been on BC for nearly three years now. I sometimes get ovarian cysts, but do not have PCOS. I’ve had three ultrasounds in the past two years to check things out, and on two of them, they told me it was quite clear I was about to ovulate, so at least things are going well there. I’ve tracked my cycles with an app for the past few years and am regular there. *crossing fingers*

I was worried about our ages too (35 and 38 at conception).  However, I had my Nexplanon out last March, tracked ovulation/avoided the fertile window for April and May, and got my + HPT 10 days after we said “ok, lets not avoid this cycle”.  Literally the first time I didn’t use some sort of contraception or fertility awareness.  Age matters, but everyone ages differently and the odds certainly favor getting pregnant within a year.

We’ve been very fortunate.  I haven’t had to see the doctor outside of regular, scheduled checkups/ultrasounds.  My bloodwork has been perfect.  The Harmony test really set our minds at ease and we got to find out what we were having at 13 weeks as a bonus.
