So I come home after a long day at work and Darling Husband tells me “I finished the thank you cards”. Me now very awake and very worried, takes a look. Most were pretty normal until I got half way through…
“Thank you for coming to our wedding. Your gift will be used towards our house, 1 frozen pizza, 2 packs of pall malls and a dancing monkey named Chaz”
He did several others as well. When I asked why… “I got bored” hahaha. He actually wanted to send these! While funny, I just don’t think Aunt Betty would understand his humor on $100 haha.

@JRL2012: Haha! At least you cracked a smile 🙂

My Darling Husband started the very first one with “Everyone knows cash is the best present”

I can totally see my SO doing something like this after our wedding hahaha

This is why Darling Husband was not allowed anywhere near the thank you cards.

@JRL2012: Even if Aunt Betty wouldn’t appreciate it, I would much rather have that Thank You than a boring one!

…Now I’m nervous because I didn’t check the ones Darling Husband wrote! Uh-oh. He would totally write about a dancing monkey, too.

When they were going to his friends, I just let him write whatever he wanted. Maybe I should have looked them over!

Haha! This is why I wrote all of our thank you cards and just made him sign his name at the bottom!

Love it! At least he can make you laugh 🙂

I would love to get a Thank You card like that! But yeah, I guess my grandma, might not get it.
I had to write out a generic note that he just copied for his side that gave cash (Thank you so much for coming and for the generous gift… blah blah blah). Even then it took him forever to do his, and I only made him do the ones to his family and closest friends.

@JRL2012: OMG his humor is so much like my Darling Husband. My Darling Husband would have totally done something like that.

I think I need to write some cards like that. That’s hilarious! Granted, those will be to selected people… Not just anyone!

- Wedding: September 2012 - Schloss Heiligenberg/ Spearfish Canyon Lodge
I’m kinda worried about our thank yours in September since I don’t want to do them all by myself. Although I’d trust Mr. B not to pull a stunt like this…
