So I saw these 2 dresses by a seller on Darling Husband Gate (lucklover) with 95% feedback and would like to ask for a help if you’ve seen this dress somewhere before (original replica seller?) or even the original designers.
Their prices are quite incredible and the reviews for the 1st dress have been amazing (looks just like the picture, high quality, etc) but I’m still trying to get my head around buying wedding dresses online and the riskiness of it. I’ve read horror stories about Darling Husband Gate sellers and how they mislead you by using other people’s pictures.
So please help another bee out? I’m on a budget but at the same time I don’t want to waste $200 on crappy dresses. I also have been looking at Jasmine’s and Dressilyme but their prices are a bit higher so there are a lot of contemplations here.
Anyway, any info would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

Hi @jawaiian86: First and foremost, I see you are fairly NEW to WBee… so a BIG Welcome to “the Hive”
GORGEOUS Dresses !!
Cannot really help you with info on them directly… but as someone who`s been on WBee for over a year I can tell you this.
There are many Off-Shore (China) Dressmakers / Knock Off companies. Some are better than others.
Based on what I
ve read Id give Darling Husband Gate a pass personally. There have been Bees who have received less service (or dress) than they expected… and some Bees who truly feel they`ve been ripped off by them (use the WBEE SEARCH Box to learn more / see past posts)
By far the Off-Shore Dressmakers with the best reputation here on WBee is Jasmine`s Bridal and Dressilyme… lots of happy customers
Jasmine`s even has an ongoing thread on the Dress Board… where girls who have a dress in progress post, and Reps answer Questions etc
Worth checking out if you are in the market for a Knock Off.
Hope this helps,

@This Time Round: Thank you for the warm welcome 😀 Yes, I’m so overwhelmed by the choices for replica makers and have been looking at a few places other than Darling Husband Gate, such as Etsy, Coral’s Bridal, Dressilyme, Jasmine’s, Missfish, Light In The Box, etc.
I will certainly take your advice into my decission making process and choose wisely 🙂

@jawaiian86: i dont know about that first dress, but the second pic looks like a jasmine’s replica from looking at the background. if you go to the jasmine’s thread you can see mid production pics from other bees and that background looks the same.
Jasmine’s Bridal Shop is another china replica dress maker and they’ve made some really amazing dresses for other bees but their prices are high, FYI. hope that was helpful!

@jawaiian86: I actually ordered that first dress on 12/20. I’ll make a post once it gets here, regarding whether it’s legit or a bag full of toilet paper…

The second dress is a replica of a michael cinco piece that retails for like 30k… I know jasmines did a version of that dress as well and it turned out stunning, but thats not a jasmines, the background is a little different and the manikin is different. Best of luck!
heres the original:
