Not a bad sign at all.  It just means that you are still an individual, independent person 🙂  DH sometimes goes out of town for the weekend for rugby tournaments, and I’m not going to lie… I definitely enjoyed my ME time!

No, it’s awesome!  Sometimes you need space and time to yourself to be yourself.  When living together, you’re compromising and taking another person’s needs into account.  Now, you have a little freedom to add those mushrooms to the pasta that he doesn’t like ^_^

Enjoying this doesn’t undermine your relationship so take it easy.

@MrsBeck:  I would be sad if my husband was gone for a week. He has to do night shift every couple of months so I rarely see him (though we make a point to spend a few hours together). The first day, I pretend to pout about it and secretly enjoy watching stupid TV shows while I cuddle with my puppy. By the third day, I do miss him. We are quite attached though so maybe we are the unhealthy ones.

@MrsBeck:  I love my husband dearly but I don’t miss him for at least a week when he leaves on trips.  🙂  I also need my space and time to do whatever the heck I want.  I get a lot done when he’s gone!

Mine’s gone too, and I’m loving it! We lived in different states for 2 years before we got married, so it’s kind of like being back in my old routine. I love my “me” time!

@MrsBeck:  I don’t think it’s a bad sign, just that each relationship is different.  I personally hate it when my husband is gone or if I have to be away from him, but we do everything together.  My other friends enjoy time away from their SOs.  I think as long as you’re happy when you’re together, there’s nothing wrong.

@MrsBeck:  I always feel along when DH is gone for a few days, but having the whole couch to myself and being able to control the remote is awesome. I don’t like when he is gone, but I make the most of it with things I don’t normally do if he’s home.

I love when DH goes away for a few days!  It’s nice to have my own space, quiet, and my own schedule to do whatever I want.  I do love when he comes back though, too!

@almostmrsj:  haha same here! DH sometimes has to disappear for 3-6 week periods for Army stuff, and the first week is definitely fantastic. It takes me at least five full days and nights before I really start missing him. 😀

@MrsBeck:  I don’t like sleeping alone and I think that is a huge part of it. I do have my reasons for that and they are quite scary. He knows this, but there isn’t currently anything we can do about it. Thank god I have my furbaby is all I can say about that.

The husband travels about 30% of the year for work and I do enjoy my time without him. So you are not alone! 🙂

I really miss him on the weekends because he is my partner in crime, but during the week I am productive and do whatever I want after work, so that is nice. Plus the time apart is really positive for us b/c we make more of an effort to spend time together when he is here.
