I was wondering recently how this abbreviation came to be the one to use when writing about your husband. I mean, I never use the word darling in real life. Does anyone else?

My husband once read over my shoulder and asked what some of the abbreviations meant. When I told him what Darling Husband meant, he goes, “That sounds stupid. Never call me that.”

Husbutt it is.

@shaniqua:  That was pretty much my husband’s thought.  I don’t call him darling/dear husband in real life, so why would I call him that anywhere else?

I call him my husband or my husbutt. That’s what I stick to anywhere.

LOL my Fiance said something similar once.  He was paranoid that I was giving out personal information over the net.  So our convo went something like this:

Fiance: You better not be using my name on there! I don’t want some crazy person stalking us

Me: No honey we use WB slang.

Fiance: What kind of slang?

Me: Well like Save-the-Dates are Save-The-Date Cards

Fiance: *Laughing* OH YEAH! STD that’s funny….so what do you call me?

Me: You’re my Fiance

Fiance: (All of a sudden gets really defensive)*Yelling* What does that mean?!?!  Fucking Idiot?!?!

LOL men.
