If you get a positive OPK do you BD that night or the next night? My OBGYN told me we should only try to hit O day and not “use up” his swimmers on any days before O. What personally worked for you? What is your BD schedule if your husband has a low sperm count/mobility factor?

We didn’t know that Darling Husband had decent sperm, though he almost never finishes… So we put in extra effort to BD on CD12, CD14 and CD15 since there was no way we could BD every day like some lucky bees on this board… I had really bad ovulation pain on CD15 but that was all we were using to determine fertility, we just assumed ~CD14 +- would be best… After 13 Stinkin cycles we finally got our BFP… We had other issues, but yeah… GL timing BD!

This varies from woman to woman. I ovulated the day I got my positive OPK usually, but most women usually ovulate the day after their positive OPK. So you may get a better idea of when you ovulate after charting for a couple of cycles. Do you get ovulation cramps? This helped me pinpoint exactly which day i ovulated. Until you are able to know better which day is O day for you, I would say def BD the day of the positive OPK and try to also do the following day. If your Darling Husband has low sperm count, you may not have as many swimmers on the second consecutive day you BD but it’s still better than not trying at all. If you find you ovulate the day after your positive OPK, and your doc recommends only doing O day, then you could switch.

I’d say def BD the day of your +OPK. Also charting would help to figure out if you ovulate the day after +OPK or the day of.
