I placed an order for a flower girl dress then immediately saw after I placed the order that ship date was later than had been shown and would be delayed further due to a Chinese holiday. I immediately contacted them to cancel, with 5 minutes. Their “guarantee” says they do not pay seller until item is relieved. This is false. They would not give me a refund, so I am out the item and cash in time for my event. They said the seller had to approve, but the seller declined. Now my only option is to dispute it. What a huge hassle and I’m guessing it will not happen any time soon. their garuantee is a scam, a false security. No way to talk with anyone. The chat person kept saying sorry, but could offer no help to resolve the issue. The seller would not respond to my attempts to contact them by the means provided (email and phone).

How did you pay? You can dispute pretty easily through paypal if you went that route. it’s possible to dispute the charges through your credit card company, you’ll have to call your specific company to find out the procedure though.
you can also open a dispute with BBB. DHgate has a pretty bad rating with them though so they don’t typically refund or work well with them. But it’s worth a shot.

call your credit card company and dispute immediately, especially since the deller is being diffucult you have emails, and the product hasn’t even been shipped (if they do ship you can refuse the package)

I think even if you did not pay with paypal for a fee you can stop payment. I have done this before a long time ago. I paid something like a $20 stop payment fee because the seller refused to cancel the order.

Also, I’ve heard that DHgate makes really bad knockoffs!
