We took a simple beach trip for my husband’s 30th – just a few days, just the two of us, good food and sunshine!

My Fiance turned 30 last November (the 4th!).

I planned a trip to Vegas with him and myself, 4 of our closest friends, and his parents/brother. We stayed at the MGM Grand for 4 days! It was fabulous.

stokesto :  My Fiance has never had his own birthday party before. All his siblings have birthdays within 2 weeks of eachother, so there was only a big combined birthday party. As the middle child, he often felt left out, so I arranged a surprise birthday party for his 25th birthday. His whole family came over to our house, we grilled, and I got him a custom kids cake (he always says that kids birthday cake is the best cake). We surprised him when he came through the door with his grandparents by having our dog run up with a party hat on and a sign that said surprise! He loved it and it is still one of his favorite birthdays to date.

My poor man spent his 30th birthday in Ikea after moving across the country the day before (we didn’t even have a bed).

I always ask for my birthday presents to be memories. We’ve done special seats at sporting events, concerts, special dinners (like next dinner or brunch overlooking the ocean or city), day trips to neat cities/islands, whale watching, paddle board lessons, ghost tours, etc.

But once we were settled I bought him a nice toolbox with his name on a nameplate. I wanted to get him a “forever” present.

We went to Vegas a few months ago for DH’s 30th! We spent a few days with some of our closest friends and went to a fancy dinner, did some gambling, bar hopped- it was perfect laughing

My Fiance turns 30 next year and I’ve already started thinking about it haha. It’s been years since he had a birthday party so I’m going to throw him one. We’ve spent his last 3 birthdays away on trips so I think he will be happy to have the opportunity to celebrate with people that aren’t just me. I haven’t decided yet but I’m either going to go all out with a party at our house or rent a room at a trendy local bowling/bocce/cornhole center and serve apps, drinks and let people play games for the afternoon.

My Fiance just turned 30. We’re going to San Diego for a week on Thursday to relax in the sun, visit some cool beach bars (and a beer fest) and hang out with some friends.

My husband turns 30 this November too! It’s hard to plan much because he travels often for work and sometimes travel arrangements are made only a few weeks before the trip happens. I’m thinking we may go to New Orleans for the weekend with some friends. It’s only about an hour and a half drive so doesn’t take much planning.

I had only gone on 2 dates with Darling Husband before his 30th birthday. I took him to a whiskey tasting just the two of us, and I met his friends for the very first time later at his birthday party. I didn’t throw the party though; I just showed up.

stokesto :  unfortunately Darling Husband and I started dating 2 months after his 30th birthday so I couldn’t make it special like I would have if we were dating. He was single and didn’t do anything at all. After we started dating he told me how much he loves train rides and we both always talked about wanting to go to the Grand Canyon. So for his 31st birthday (to make up for 30th) I got us a 3 day package through AAA to go to the GC stayed in the hotel and took the train there. He LOVED it. We both want to go back. It was AMAZING.

For DH’s 30th birthday I arranged for his parents and grandma to fly down (they live 4-5hours flight away from us) without him knowing and organised a dinner with his friends. He nearly burst into tears when his parents and grandma walked through the door of the restaurant. I had also arranged other things for us to do with them for the entire weekend, but I just pretended it was just me and him doing this or that so he wouldn’t arrange other things with anyone else for that weekend. I don’t even know how I managed to keep it all a secret haha.
