I’m sorry you feel this way love.

There’s not just diamond regret, people regret moissies, gemstones, white gold, etc.  There are expectations that sometimes aren’t met, hence the regret.

If you truly want a big sparkly stone, why not return your ring and get yourself a stone you want?

Your ring sounds beautiful show us!

I wouldn’t regret buying the real thing it doesn’t seem you spent too much for what you got really diamonds are expensive but people spend that on moissys too which I do think is overpriced for a sim probably because they are quite popular these days but to me a natural gem its far more precious especially one proposed with by your husband to be.

You could always ask for a flashy diamond Sim as a milestone anniversary gift! (5/10/etc years) Then you’ll have the best of both worlds and can choose what suits you to wear for that day. I prefer real diamonds myself but love it when they are dainty and elegant. BLING BLING can be fun, but small and classy always suits every occasion.

I think you got an excellent deal for the specs you mentioned. And with a halo im guessing its looks bigger than if t was just the centre stone alone. (hint hint plese post some pics ๐Ÿ˜› ) As for feeling you spent too much dont worry! This is the time to spend on yourself and eachother, once kids come along, you buy a house, you will wish you could go back to that time you get yourself a nice gift without feeling the guilt. Plus we all spend money on insigificant thisngs each day that add up, take away, coffees, parking fees! Your ring is an important purchase and you shouldnt feel bad for spending money on something that you will own for the rest of your life.

And yes you could have bought a bigger moissanite but maybe you wouldnt have likes the colour properties. You could have also bought a gigantic cubic zirconia (not that there’s anything wrong if someone does!) but would you have then be wondering if you should have bought a diamond?

I agree with the previous poster. Had you of gotten a larger moissanite you may regret not picking a diamond. You ccould always get a moissy or amora gem for an anniversary or other milestone to switch out with your ering. I think it’s normal to feel this way especially when you belong to a site like weddingbee where there are so many stunning large rings. It might be worth stepping away for awhile to see if you really do regret your choice. Goodluck!

You could check out DiamondBistro.com. Women list their simulant rings for sale all of the time and the prices are good.

As far as regret, I agree, it’s easy to have esp with jewelry boards and Pinterest etc. There are so many lovely choices on display.

Since you can’t return it now, regret is not really doing you any good mentally or emotionally because there is no way to change things now.

The only thing you can do is look forward. Do you want a new e-ring with a moissy or AG? Maybe plan for that on an anniversary and keep your original Ering as it is?

No, I don’t understand why you would regret a stone with those stats. I’d love to see a picture if you could.

Wait, I’m a bit confused — you posted 3 months ago about getting your moissanite set to replace your diamond, so it seems like you already have a moissy?

As for regretting the diamond, well, you can always try and sell it to recoup *some* of your costs there, or just keep it to pass down to your future son/daughter. Those are nice specs and I’d be proud to wear it.

MissSweetiepie:  I understand exactly what you are going through. I went through the same exact thing. We spent about 3k on a high quality .5ct center stone which now that I know more about it omg that was way too much money for that tiny stone. The worst part was I didn’t care about diamonds lol where I come from the only ring you get is a wedding band on the day of your wedding. Even though I been here for a few years now all I wanted was a pretty stone that was big and sparkly. I was so happy when I found moissanites! Recently Ia purchased one and I’m over the moon I love it!

So give it time. You can alway get a moissy later they are super affordable!
