Anyone have or have pictures of a diamond that is slightly bigger than the halo was designed for so that it hides the inner gap. I’m looking but cant find any pics to see what it would look like

You are saying you don’t want an airline, correct? That means you just need a setting without an airline, don’t get a halo made for a certain size and then put a bigger diamond in it. That will look super wonky.
Not just wonky, but the girdle will sit too high and be unsupported.Bad.
No its just a smidge over what the halo was designed for so it would hide the inner gap and cover like .3mm instead of being flush
They do create settings “without airlines”. Doing it your way would mean the stone sticks up too high and you see a big gap under it. It would also leave the stone more exposed.
For example this setting is created especially for this diamond and to not have an airline, it is not too big for the setting (Victor Canera Emilya):
To contrast, this ring was specifically designed for this centre diamond and to have an airline:
Some people like airlines, some don’t.
There are options for all!
I know mine is heart shaped but I designed it so there is no air line. I much prefer the centre stone and halo blending together, still looking like separate stones but still blended together. It’s much neater in my opinion.
My ring doesnt photograph very well, but here it is. The center stone is set much higher than the halo so it looks like it almost overlapps the halo.
I agree with what
I have mine with a slightly bigger stone, but this make the stone stick out a bit
I agree with PPs look for a setting with no airline.
This is mine, it’s designed to be completely flush
My sapphire sits higher than the setting but so far I have had no issues.
